PTL performs photovoltaic module qualification testing and related activities. It is one of three such unique facilities in the world testing modules from manufacturers around the globe. Its staff is experienced in the analysis and full testing sequence of commercial Si solar cell technologies (single crystal, polysilicon, amorphous) required by IEC 61215, IEC 61626, IEEE 1262, and UL 1703.

 It provides photovoltaic module testing including:

• Performance Measurement
• Engineering Evaluation
• Product Development
• Prototype Testing
• Accelerated Testing
• Outdoor Exposure

Its equipment includes four environmental chambers, hail impact tester, dynamic load tester, and UV exposure test chamber.
